Along the southern shore of lake Vättern, Småland’s largest city spreads out. Jönköping is easy to travel to no matter where you are in Sweden, by bus, train, plane or car. Once in Jönköping, there are various options for you to easily discover the entire city either on foot, by bike or by public transport.
To travel to the Elmia exhibition you can take a train, bus or plane. You can take the train to Vaggeryd or Jönköping, where Elmia offers free bus connections.

By Bus to Elmia
It is easy to take the bus to Elmia. From the railway station / bus station Juneporten, city buses goes to Elmia several times an hour. The trip takes about ten minutes. It’s as easy to go by bus from Huskvarna station or other parts of town to Elmia.
All bus transport within the region is operated by Jönköpings länstrafik and you can easily plan your trip on their website or via their app.

By Train
You can easily get to Jönköping from all over Sweden by train. All trains arrive and depart from Jönköping Resecentrum, which is located right in the city center.

Route & general driving info
It is easy to get to Jönköping by car via the E4, whether you are coming from Haparanda or Helsingborg. Other major roads leading to Jönköping include national roads 26, 31, 40 and 47.
Jönköping is on the southern shore of Lake Vättern.
If you’re driving from e.g. Gothenburg (which is relatively nearby) the road distance is ~ 140-150 km, and about 1h45-2h of driving.
Parking at Elmia
Directly outside Elmia’s exhibition halls, there are 6,500 parking spaces.
